Our Team

With a life long interest in business, finance and investing, Harold enjoys helping people plan for life cycle events such as retirement and college.  He manages Berk Cleveland Rathmell Wealth Strategies’ Binghamton, New York office.

Harold joined Berk Cleveland Rathmell after retiring from a career in the aerospace industry. He served in this industry for  more than 37 years of service in engineering and program management, during which he was awarded US Patent #6,993,768.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Harold holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Cornell University, a Masters of Science in Computer Systems from Binghamton University, a MBA from the University of Phoenix, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM.

Harold is President-elect of the Financial Planning Association of the Southern Tier of New York. He is also a Registered Financial Advisor with the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. In addition, Harold serves on the board of his synagogue, where he is also a member of the Finance Committee.

As a life long aerospace professional, Harold also a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He previously served as Chairman of the Binghamton Section of the IEEE and Vice Chairman of Region 1 of the IEEE. He is also former President of the Hillel Academy of Broome County.

A Ham Radio enthusiast, Harold holds an FCC Amateur Extra Class Ham Radio License, call sign KB2MB.

Harold and his wife, Meryl, have three daughters and sons-in-law, and many wonderful grandchildren. Two daughters are teachers and one is CPA.  Two sons-in-law are teachers and one is an actuary.
